Sven Loves Peanut Butter!

ODE TO PEANUT BUTTER

For those who like a sandwich dreamy.
They make this stuff that they call creamy.
It goes on smooth, just as smooth as butter,
Devoid of all that nutter clutter

For those who are real peanut junkies,
Inside a jar with the label “chunky”.
Nutty lumps in a creamy confection,
A perfect mix of imperfection.

Creamy or chunky? So much indecision.
My mind is conflicted in such a division.
It’s a matter of mood, I've known from my youth.
Whether to please the tongue or to please the tooth.

For most of the time, it just doesn't matter,
A crunchy bite or a creamy splatter.
The ultimate taste is what I desire,
A sandwich that dares to entice and inspire.

With strawberry jam or the jelly of grape,
Combines for the ultimate peanut escape.
On bread that is soft and fluffy and white,
Dreams are made of such a delight.

And let's not forget the cold milk now,
Fresh from the fridge, the juice of the cow.
There in your mouth, they combine in collusion
And leaves me to reach a simple conclusion.

A strange little nut that grows under ground,
Is the tastiest thing that I've ever found.
And so I am left to simply mutter
Thank you peanuts... for peanut butter.
